A standard SMS is a text message that is charged as for any other SMS message you send or receive. This is typically on a per message basis (for example, 10c per message sent or received), or on a ‘plan’ basis where you pay a single amount per month for a bucket of messages, or for unlimited messaging. A premium SMS has an additional charge which is added to your phone bill. For example, a game may be charged by sending you a premium SMS. You will always be shown the amount and asked to accept the charge before you are sent a premium SMS.
