How does it work? (locked)

Make My Ringtone allows you to make a customized ringtone from a piece of your music (or any MP3 file that you have created or own) for your own personal and non-commercial use. The process consists of three simple steps:

1. Upload your MP3 file to the Mobicious server. Note that only MP3 format files are currently supported
2. Select the 20 second clip you would like to use as your ringtone
3. Send your customized ringtone to your phone

If your carrier is Verizon the ringtone is sent as a multimedia picture message. Otherwise a text message is sent to your mobile phone with a link to the ringtone, which you can then download.

This is all done using a simple web interface – there is no need to download any software.
